YOM HA'ATZMAUT
Morah Anat coordinated the K - 6 activities. Each student completed Israeli ID Cards, "Teudat Zehut" and decorated our campus. The 6th Graders shared information about Israel followed by a delicious Falafel lunch
Morah Anat drew a map of Israel on the field and the students enjoyed a virtual tour of 8 different cities in Israel. Each city provided an activity related to the uniqueness of the area.
Our students were divided into 7 groups "The Sheva Minim - 7 special fruit of Israel" and followed the Tiyul-tour to our soccer field. At each station, the teachers explained about the city and how it connected to the activity.
Eilat Station - There are many beautiful fish there - Students made beautiful Fish Magnets
Yam Hamelech - The Dead Sea is the lowest place in the world and 8 times saltier than the Pacific Ocean - Students completed a science project comparing salt and fresh water.
Haifa - Known as an international Sea Port. Students made boats and tried to make them float.
Tiveria - The students took water from the Kineret to the rest of Israel
It was a magnificent day and instilled pride and identity of Israel.
